Claude Code was always impressive to me because i could keep it busy for long periods of time and keep projects moving forward
GPT-5 on codex-cli isn’t like that. it finishes pretty quick. after using it fairly intensely for a week, i think it’s safe to say claude is just slow

GPT-5 is also more token efficient, afaict
i was disappointed by codex’ lack of subagents, but in hindsight i really just needed Claude to stop filling up the context so damn quickly. GPT-5 checks that box
