Cognition had to rewrite Devin for Sonnet 4.5 because:

- it’s aware of its own context length and will aggressively summarize near the end

- it externalizes thoughts & observations into files

subagents? yeah, the model communicates via files

compaction? yeah, the model will aggressively summarize and the. the compaction APIs *actually* GC the context
