has anyone used AI to fix a bug or add a feature to OSS software just for your own personal use?

feels like that should be happening a lot now

i like open source software because it means that i can modify the code myself if i need something that isn't provided by the software in question or its developer has stopped maintaining it

so i can't really get attached to software that may just stop working in a few years with no way to fix it

i forked ollama to make it break if the LLM veers into uncertain territory (as determined by the upper left quadrant of the entropy/varentropy grid)
