my benchmark for AI models is how much they change life for me, normally it takes a few weeks to run, but:

- Gemini 3 + nano banana is massive, probably biggest change in 6 months

- GPT-5 is small, but 5.1 + 5.1-codex is actually a moderate jump

- o3 might be biggest jump of the year

with coding models, imo there’s a missing software angle

i think Google’s AI studio with its app creator thing might be one presentation that makes a high impact

also, whoever can make generative UI a real and reliable thing, that’ll change a huge amount

the reason Gemini 3 is such a massive change for me is that so much of my job is explaining things simply

i’m an architect, and imo most architecture isn’t all that complicated, so it’s not hard for me to do. but feels very foreign to non-tech business folk

with Gem i can autogen explanations
